FIELD TOUR IN REGIONAL NSW

Preceding the Congress will be a Field Day and Field Tour held in Wagga Wagga, New South Wales.

Wagga Wagga (informally called Wagga) is a major regional city in the Riverina region of New South Wales, located midway between the two largest cities in Australia - Sydney and Melbourne.

Straddling the Murrumbidgee River, Wagga Wagga has an approximate population of 70,000 and is the biggest inland city in NSW. It is an important agricultural, military, and transport hub.

Wagga Wagga is also one of Australia’s leading centres of canola breeding and research and the perfect location to showcase developments and opportunities in the industry.

During the tour delegates will visit canola research trials, Australia’s newest oilseed crushing plant, a sheep shearing demonstration and more.

We encourage delegates to make their own way to Wagga Wagga, ready for the first event on the evening of Thursday 21st September 2023.
